Meet Kara Chambers
Clinical Psychologist
BA (Hons) Psych, MClinPsych, MAAP
Kara is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist and Board-approved Supervisor with over 12 years' experience across perinatal, adult, forensic and educational settings, supporting clients with a broad range of emotional and mental health concerns.
Alongside her professional experience, Kara's own journey to motherhood with twins deepened her understanding of the transition to parenthood. A registered practitioner with the Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE), she now focuses on supporting hopeful, expectant and new parents from pre-conception through pregnancy, birth and early parenthood, helping them navigate this significant life transition while building resilience and protecting their mental wellbeing.
She believes that preparing for and navigating parenthood is about more than caring for a baby, it's also about caring for the person becoming a parent.
Kara is passionate about creating a warm, genuine and non-judgmental space where clients feel safe, understood and supported. Her approach is compassionate, evidence-based and down to earth, recognising that every person's story, strengths and values are unique. She draws on both clinical expertise and a holistic understanding of wellbeing to support meaningful, lasting change, and considers it a privilege to walk alongside her clients as they reconnect with themselves and move towards greater balance in their lives.
